What should be my sitting posture during a job interview?

As might be expected you should look calm, relaxed an attentive and for that you should be natural with your sitting posture. If you are trying a recommended sitting posture for the first time before your interviewer, you can’t just help looking uneasy. That would definitely send a wrong signal about your confidence. And probably your uneasiness with your sitting posture gonna affect your interview performance. But don’t get me wrong, I am not recommending you to sit the way you feel easy and relaxed. My point is that you should be comfortable with your sitting position, and to achieve that you need to practice that well before you appear in an interview.
It is not that hard to learn. Sit with back straight. Don’t sit on the edge. Let your back touch the back of the chair. Don’t hang sideways in your chair that might give the impression that you are not that interested in the job. Sitting with your arms crossed can be seen as an arrogant or defensive gesture, so try to avoid this. For women sitting crossed-legged is just perfect, but men must avoid crossing their legs in an interview. And that’s it to the sitting posture of a job interview. It’s simple … isn’t it? But you need to get comfortable with that position in case you are not.
